Oklahoma River Race Course Lighting

The City of Oklahoma City has selected Garver to provide design services to illuminate and aesthetically enhance a 1,000-meter race course along the Oklahoma River.

The project includes event, practice, and architectural lighting to support nighttime activities, U.S. Olympic time trials, and other special racing events. Located in the Boathouse District, the site is becoming a popular area for rowing, canoeing, and kayaking.

Design includes lighting for training and enhanced lighting for night-time events. Future phases of work are expected to include versatile LED light fixtures that provide different colored themes depending upon the season and event, which will provide a pleasing technological experience for spectators, participants, and trainers as well as public address systems and infrastructure for televised events.
