Garver Mitigates Emergency Rock Slide

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) recently utilized Garver’s Construction Services Team for an emergency project on Interstate 35 south of Davis. In response to what could have developed into a potentially dangerous scenario for drivers in Oklahoma, Garver recently provided mitigation of a rock slide area along the freeway.

“I-35 sees a lot of traffic, and due to the instability of the remaining rock, the north-bound lanes had to be shut down,” said Project Manager Shannon McGarrah. “If that rock would’ve come down on its own timeline, it could’ve seriously hurt someone. Fortunately crews were deployed and their efforts alleviated that danger in a way that will keep drivers safe.”
